DESCRIPTION

Alfio Ferrara is a Full Professor of Computer Science at the University of Milan, where he teaches Natural Language Processing, Reinforcement Learning, and IT Methodologies in the Humanities. A Philosophy graduate, he has always been interested and actively involved in digital humanities projects. He is the author of the recent Le macchine del linguaggio (Einaudi), which explores the relationship between human culture and Artificial Intelligence. He is among the promoters of the new research center on Digital Humanities and Applied AI, created with the aim of reducing the gap between the human sciences and information technologies.
